Shipping Policy

DJM Direct Service
Heavy-equipment notice: Many products sold by DJM Direct Service are oversized and ship by LTL freight. Delivery conditions can differ substantially from standard parcel shipping.

1. Order processing

Our standard order processing period is generally 5–8 business days unless a product page states a different lead time. Some products are made to order, manufacturer-direct, backordered, discontinued, or subject to extended production lead times. Where a product has a model-specific lead time, the product-page information controls.

Business days exclude weekends and U.S. federal holidays. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.

2. Shipping destinations

We primarily ship within the United States. Some heavy equipment shipments may be restricted to the contiguous 48 states or may require a custom freight quote for Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, islands, remote areas, or export destinations.

3. Shipping methods

Smaller products may ship by parcel carrier. Vehicle lifts, large shop equipment, and other oversized products generally ship by LTL freight carrier. Carrier selection may be made by DJM Direct Service, the manufacturer, distributor, or fulfillment partner based on destination, product size, and freight availability.

4. Freight delivery requirements

Freight deliveries commonly require a commercial location with suitable unloading equipment. Depending on the product and manufacturer, the customer may need a forklift, loading dock, tractor, skid steer, or other equipment capable of safely unloading the shipment.

A liftgate does not necessarily make it possible to unload long or heavy automotive lifts. Some manufacturers prohibit or cannot provide liftgate unloading for two-post and four-post lifts. Terminal pickup may be required or recommended.

5. Residential, rural and limited-access delivery

Additional carrier charges may apply for residential addresses, farms, construction sites, schools, military locations, storage facilities, remote areas, limited-access locations, appointment delivery, liftgate service, redelivery, address correction, or other special services.

If additional freight charges apply after checkout, we will contact you before proceeding when practical. If you decline required additional charges, the order may be cancelled and any non-recoverable carrier or supplier costs may be deducted where permitted by law.

6. Delivery appointments

LTL carriers typically contact the recipient to arrange or confirm delivery. It is the customer's responsibility to provide a working phone number, monitor carrier communications, and be available for the scheduled appointment. Missed appointments can cause re-delivery or storage charges.

7. Transit times

Transit time begins after the order has completed processing and is accepted by the carrier. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed unless expressly stated in writing. Weather, carrier capacity, manufacturer delays, terminal congestion, remote-area routing, holidays, and other events outside our control can affect delivery.

8. Tracking

Tracking information is provided when available. LTL freight tracking may update less frequently than parcel tracking and may require the carrier's PRO number or shipment reference.

9. Inspection at delivery

Inspect all freight before signing the delivery receipt. Look for crushed packaging, punctures, missing bands, exposed metal, bent components, missing pieces, or other visible damage. Record all visible damage or shortage on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves and take clear photographs.

If damage is severe, contact us promptly for instructions. Do not discard packaging until any freight claim is resolved.

10. Concealed damage

Damage discovered after delivery should be reported as soon as possible. Freight carriers impose deadlines for concealed-damage claims, and delayed reporting can reduce or eliminate available remedies.

11. Address changes

Once an order has shipped, address changes are not guaranteed and may result in carrier reconsignment or redelivery fees. Contact us immediately if an address correction is required.

12. Installation is not included

Unless expressly stated on the product page or invoice, shipping does not include unloading, assembly, installation, electrical work, concrete preparation, anchoring, inspection, permitting, or disposal of packaging. Vehicle lifts should be installed and operated according to the manufacturer's instructions and all applicable codes.

13. Delivery does not confirm site suitability

Customers are responsible for confirming ceiling height, slab thickness and strength, electrical supply, vehicle dimensions, access, clearances, anchoring requirements, and local code requirements before ordering and installation.
